With the opening of a new store in Türkiye, JYSK is expanding its great Scandinavian offers to even more customers. So far with three stores in Istanbul and a fourth on the way in 2024.

JYSK delivers strong financial results in challenging global market

For the financial year 2022/23 (FY23), JYSK reached an EBIT result of DKK 3.96 billion (EUR 531 million) and increased its turnover by 6.3% to DKK 38.5 billion (EUR 5.2 billion.) The global home furnishing retailer continued its expansion plans and welcomed over 1.2 million new customers to its stores despite the slowdown in the global retail market.

The new distribution centre in Spain will be similar to the one currently under planning in Lelystad, the Netherlands, which is visualised above.

JYSK invests in new distribution centre in Spain

To further support JYSK’s ambitious expansion plans for more stores in Spain and Portugal, the global retail company will strengthen its logistics setup with a new distribution centre in Almenara, south of Castellón.

"One of the things I expect to be able to contribute is to put even more power into how finance can help the business make the right decisions," says Signe Lind Jacobsen.

New CFO to strengthen use of financial data

In her new job, JYSK's Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Signe Lind Jacobsen, will add more power to the company's financial data so that important decisions can be made on a solid financial basis.

“I look very much forward to stepping fully into the role as President and CEO of JYSK," says Rami Jensen.

1 September 2023 marks a significant change for the global retail company JYSK. As only the third person in JYSK’s 44-year history, Rami Jensen becomes President and CEO of JYSK after Jan Bøgh.
