Press release -
JYSK employees are highly satisfied
Employees in JYSK are considerably more motivated, satisfied and loyal than market average.
Motivated and satisfied employees mean happy customers. That is the philosophy in JYSK, and if that is true, JYSK customers have a lot of reasons to be happy.
A recently performed employee satisfaction survey shows that employees at JYSK are highly satisfied and extremely loyal to the company and its values.
The survey, which was carried out in January and February of 2018, shows that index number for employee satisfaction and motivation in JYSK is 77 out of 100, which is significantly higher than average.
“I am very happy with the result. This is proof that we have succeeded in creating a company and a company culture which a big majority of our employees enjoy being part of,” says Jan Verhoek, Executive Vice President HR.
Impressive result
And according to Pernille Lundtoft Jensen, Senior Manager at Ennova, which carried out the survey, Jan Verhoek and the rest of the employees in JYSK have every reason to be proud of the result.
“The results from JYSK were so good that I actually decided to check the whole survey again to ensure that everything was carried out in the right way, as JYSK employees are much more satisfied than both the general average and the average for the global companies based in the Nordic countries,” says Pernille Lundtoft Jensen.
She highlights two facts which make JYSK stand out exceptionally.
“One is the results in the Eastern and Central European countries where employees in JYSK are considerably more satisfied than employees in other companies. Another interesting fact is that JYSK does not have the so-called honeymoon problem. In most companies employee satisfaction drops significantly after about one year in the company. This is not the case in JYSK. This means that the working conditions and possibilities actually equal the promises from the recruitment process,” says Pernille Lundtoft Jensen.
High participation
The great results become even more impressive as the participation rate in the survey was 97 percent.
“It is important that as many employees as possible participate in the survey, and I am satisfied that 97 percent of our employees have taken the opportunity to voice their opinion and influence how we can make sure that JYSK will continue to be an attractive place to work,” says Jan Verhoek.
Furthermore he sees it as a clear indication that JYSK has a strong foothold in the competition for the best and brightest young minds.
“Traditionally we have seen some prejudices about working in retail, so I am really happy to see that JYSK employees are satisfied, motivated and loyal. The success of JYSK is to a very high extent based on competent employees, and by making sure that JYSK is a great place to work, we are able to keep all of these great people in the company,” says Jan Verhoek.
