JYSK opens store number 100 in Hungary
On Thursday, October 24th at 9:00 AM, JYSK made history in Hungary with the opening of store number 100. The opening was celebrated with speeches and festivities across the country, where JYSK has been operating since 2005.
The opening of store 100 was attended by JYSK President & CEO, Rami Jensen, Country Director for Hungary, Austria, and Greece, Sandor Szimeiszter, and the Danish Ambassador to Hungary, Christian Thorning, all of whom helped welcome the many customers wanting a great offer.
“I am very happy to celebrate the opening of store number 100 here in Hungary, and I would like to thank our employees and the leadership team in the country for their great work and dedication in reaching this significant milestone,” said JYSK President & CEO, Rami Jensen, and continued:
“I fondly remember my time as Country Director in Hungary, and it is amazing to see how the organisation has continued to grow JYSK. I am sure that there are many more milestones to celebrate in the coming years.”
The first JYSK store in Hungary opened in 2005 in Fót, just outside the capital Budapest. Store number 100 opened in Debrecen, located in eastern Hungary.
The opening is celebrated with great offers across the country and product donations to local organisations.
More JYSK stores on the way
With growth in revenue, customer numbers, and online sales, there is still great potential for further expansion in Hungary, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year.
“JYSK’s Scandinavian roots and the satisfaction and dedication of our employees are the key to the company’s success. Over a thousand Hungarian employees live the company values every day, and it can clearly be felt in the customer experience,” says Sándor Szimeiszter, Country Director for JYSK Hungary, Austria, and Greece, and continues:
“The opening of store 100 in Hungary is a milestone for us, and we look forward to celebrating 20 years in Hungary next year. We have ongoing plans for expansion to bring JYSK even closer to every customer in Hungary.”
