JYSK opens two new countries

JYSK can add two new countries to the JYSK world map before 2016 turns into 2017. With store openings in Tajikistan and Moldova JYSK Group is now present in 47 countries.

Customers in Tajikistan and Moldova are just in time to secure Christmas presents from JYSK, which has just opened the first stores in the two countries.

The first JYSK store in the Republic of Tajikistan, a mountainous country in Central Asia, opened the doors on December 17th. The store has a sales area of 1250 square meters and is located in the capital Dushanbe, which has approximately 670.000 inhabitants.

"There is nothing in Tajikistan, which resembles JYSK. This is the main reason why we believe, that there is a good market for our stores in the country. Many customers attended on the opening day, so that is promising for the future, "says Frederik Kroun, Franchise Director at JYSK.

JYSK in Tajikistan is run by a local franchisee, who is already a known retailer in the country.

Moldova in the middle

Country number 47 in the series of countries at JYSK is the Republic of Moldova, where the first JYSK store has just opened on December 22nd.The store is located in the capital Chișinău, and Franchise Director at JYSK, Frederik Kroun, expects to have good conditions for JYSK in the country looking forward.

"JYSK is already experiencing great success in the neighboring countries Romania and Ukraine, so we hope that will also be the case for our franchise business in Moldova," says Frederik Kroun, who has made a deal with a local family business on the operation of JYSK in the country.

Common to both of the two new countries is the expectation to open more JYSK stores in the future.
