Press release -
Significant growth for JYSK Nordic
With a revenue increase just above 11%, JYSK Nordic places itself solidly among the top of its industry.
Although the financial statement is yet to be settled definitively, all indications point towards a very successful financial year 2015/16 for JYSK Nordic.
JYSK Nordic is one of the two large branches of JYSK Group and operates 1,086 JYSK stores in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, UK, Holland, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Greece and China.
This means that JYSK Nordic’s turnover is sensitive towards changes in currency rates, but despite of the fact that this has a negative influence, CEO of JYSK Nordic, Jan Bøgh, is satisfied with the total turnover of DKK 12.8 billion.
- It is an increase of 11.2 percent before the exchange rate effect and 9.3 percent when currency is taken into account. We are very pleased with the result and we would like to send praise to our employees in all JYSK Nordic countries, says Jan Bøgh.
He can be pleased that all countries are improving their turnover.
- We are capable of creating organic growth in all JYSK Nordic countries. Even in countries where sales within sleeping and living in general are decreasing, JYSK are growing. This is a strong signal that consumers actively are choosing JYSK. I am also happy that we have managed to open 69 new stores within the past financial year, while simultanously growing our business online. E-business is an area with a lot of growth and there is no doubt that our capability to follow the consumers to new platforms and utilise the many possibilities that technology offers is crucial in order for us to continue our great development, says Jan Bøgh.
The overall result for JYSK Group, which includes JYSK Nordic, DÄNISCHES BETTENLAGER and JYSK Franchise, will be announced on December 1st 2016.
