JYSK celebrates 40th anniversary with opening in Ireland

2 April 2019 it is 40 years since the first JYSK store opened in Aarhus. Since then expansion has been a cornerstone in JYSK, and therefore the anniversary is celebrated with the opening of the company’s first store in Ireland.

Den 2. april 2019 er det 40 år siden, den første JYSK-butik slog dørene op. Ekspansion har siden da været en grundsten i JYSK, og jubilæet fejres derfor med åbningen af boligkædens første butik i Irland.

On 2 April 2024, it is 45 years since Lars Larsen, also known as the Tradesman, opened the first JYSK store in Denmark. Five years later, he also opened in Germany, which has since grown to be the largest market for JYSK.
