One year after entering Morocco, JYSK reports positive customer interest and employee motivation. With potential for 70 stores in total within the next five years, JYSK is ready for further expansion in its first market on the African continent.
JYSK has just opened its first store outside of Istanbul in Bursa, located in the Marmara region. In line with its strategy to be Customers' first choice, JYSK is accelerating its expansion across Türkiye and plans to double the number of stores during the current financial year of 2025/26.
On Friday 11 April at 9:30 am, a new chapter was written in JYSK Italy’s history. With the opening of three new stores on the same day in Olbia, L’Aquila and Nocera Superiore, JYSK Italy now totals 102 stores.
Today, on 10 April 2025, JYSK opens the first two stores in Casablanca, Morocco. The opening not only establishes JYSK’s presence in Africa but also marks a significant milestone as the company expands into its 50th country.

On Saturday, 22 March 2025, there was great excitement just outside Uruguay’s capital, Montevideo, as JYSK Franchise opened its very first store in South America.
Saturday 22 March 2025 marks a historic day for JYSK when the Danish home furnishing chain’s first store opens in the greater metropolitan area of Montevideo in Uruguay. The store is part of JYSK’s franchise business and will be operated by a local franchisee.
In April, JYSK will open the first stores in Casablanca, Morocco. The hiring process is well underway, with over 5,000 applications already received for the available positions.
JYSK's three-year roll-out plan for modernising its stores has now been completed. In total, it has cost DKK 4.7 billion. The result is more inviting stores, and customers have welcomed this.
On Thursday, October 24th at 9:00 AM, JYSK made history in Hungary with the opening of store number 100. The opening was celebrated with speeches and festivities across the country, where JYSK has been operating since 2005.
JYSK takes responsibility and saves on energy in all locations throughout the organisation. This includes a decrease in electricity usage and control of temperature regulating appliances.
